Just wanted to give you a heads up that I am putting the finishing touches to my FREE Flip video shooting tips e-book.

My job is self-shooting and Directing reality TV shows and I am going to share some of the techniques I use for TV and apply them to shooting on your Flip camera.

It’s amazing how many similarities there are regardless of the camera you use. Whether it costs $200 or $10,000 the basic principles of shooting remain the same.

When I work I have to capture action fast but effectively. When I shoot on the Flip exactly the same skills apply. When you are in a fast changing real life situation, be it at a party, on holiday, wherever – it’s a challenge to capture the best footage that really sums up the event.

So please return soon where you’ll be able to download my FREE Flip video shooting tips e-book. If you add your email to the form (right hand column – top) you’ll automatically receive an email from me when it comes out.

I spotted these 2 videos about how to shoot with a Flip Video and How to upload Flip Video to Youtube. I’m sharing them as much for the cool use of animation as the content.

There are some useful tips included. I would make one modification though. When shooting with the Flip I don’t recommend shooting one handed. I advise holding out both your arms, grip the Flip in one hand and use your second hand clasped around your wrist to act like a steadicam. Also lock your elbows to your waist by resting them on you abs!
