Graham Love from Scotland has done it again! Shooting with his Flip Ultra HD Graham has come up with this cracking stop motion film.
So how’s it done? The Director reveals all:
“To create the stop motion with the Flip I take the following steps:
Firstly I set my Flip Video up on a tripod, work out my shot and then hit record. I then go in front of the camera and decide what sort of movement I’m going to do. I then hold that shape, then walk forward one pace and hold. I repeat this over and over until I’m out of shot.
Later once I get home I connect my Flip to my PC and load the ‘FlipShare software’. Using the ‘create tool’ I can capture individual frames from the videos. I go through each video in turn capturing the necessary frames, i.e where I’m in the correct position.
Then once that’s done, I load the frames into Windows Movemaker and put them all together and speed them up. In this particular video the FPS (Frames Per Second) rate is 16 fps.
I use hundreds of frames fed into movie maker. The filming took around 3 hours. I got up really early, and was filming by 5am. As both the streets and roads are very quiet at that time. Editing also took a fair while, it took around an hour and an half to pick out all the frames. Still worth it in the end, I guess.”

UPDATE: I had so much response from people wanting to get detailed instructions about how to make this type of Video I asked Graham to make a tutorial.
He will lead you step by step as he shows you how he made the Video you watched above.
Now this has taken him a good chunk of time not to mention goodwill to reveal his technique so we’re making this Video available to you for the low sum of $7.99.
We’re using a new system called Sparkeo which means you’ll log in and have permanent access to the Video, be able to make notes while you watch it and ask questions through the interface. How cool is that!
You can watch the first 60 secs free to get a glimpse. Enjoy.
